2000 Dodge Neon I have a 2000 Dodge Neon

I have a 2000 Dodge neon and just yesterday while driving my car would not accelerate the rpm would move but my mph just sat at 0. I had a mechanic look at it and he said it was the transmission cable well we fixed that and now my car drives well in reverse but when I put it on drive the car doesn't really move its like just having it on neutral and if I push the gas the rpm moves and car just moves about 2ft now he's telling me its the transmission please help I need another opinion..

Sounds like the transmission is no good. If he said a cable needed to be replaced, it sounds like he went for the cheaper alternative. That means he isnt out to get ya. Check the transmission fluid. Is it black and smell burnt?

Yea, it can get pretty pricey. Depending on the garage you bring it to, you may spend in upwards of $2500.
