1999 Dodge Neon Car wont go faster then 40 km/h aka 25 mph

When driving to work today, my car made a pop noise, then dropped in speed rather significantly, and wont go above 25 mph now. When I try and push the accelorator, no resistance, and if going up or down a hill, car sputters. Tried to turn off the car, and turn it back on, as not a problem to do so, but still was having that issue. Also turned on the service engine soon light.

If vehicle has a digital display turn key on off on repeat this 4 times and leave key in on position and codes will read out. Post them here.

If that doesnt work or you have a analog display then you will have to get them scanned at a autozone and post the codes back here.
