1998 Dodge Neon brake lights don't work

Well, this probably sounds like a stupid question, but my brake lights don't work for my neon. I replaced the bulbs, and the fuses all seem to be good. Somehow I'm not gettin any power to the lights. I think. Guess I'm no mechanic, but it seems like this should be a simple problem to fix. Why does it seem like my car just has something against me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
