My moms car starts in the morning and runs her to the stores and around town but sometimes it just dies in the middle of the street my buddy looked at the car and told me that it could be the coil pack so befor I tow it to the shop I want to buy the part and save some money by only paying for the labor does this sound like the turning off of my moms car could be caused by the coil pack & what other problems do I look for

Hello, check trouble codes. You should be able to get codes by cycling the ignition switch. On--off, on--off, on, you just turn the key till the dash lites come on, no further. The mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes.

When the problem occurs, check for spark at the plugs and injector pulse. It would be nice if you could get it to stall in the drive-way. Right now, the problem could be almost anything?
