I have a 2001 Dodge Intrepid ES 3.2L with about 64,000 miles. My first problem was when my 4 disc in dash cd changer started to jam with my cd's inside. Replaced it, one year later, same problem. Over time, cabin lights have randomly gone off and on, radio unit loses presets and then gets them back, time re-sets to random times, sometimes 12:00, dash lights and trip computer will go off then on, and most recently while driving in a -10 degree ice storm, my windshield wipers stopped working completely, along with the windshield washer fluid sprayers, and steering column controls for the radio seek and volume. Thank god for rain-ex. Turn signals and hazard lights seem to work fine though. It seems as if a circuit that controls the steering column components has gone out, but this would not account for the dash lights, cabin lights, trip computer, clock, etc. Electronic components will randomly go haywire and then return to normal, but wipers are now disabled all of the time. Any suggestions? I've heard that it might be the engine computer, but the engine seems to run fine, it's only the electronics that act up. I'm very afraid that my headlights will give out at a random moment while zooming down a dark highway. Dealer has been no help whatsoever, very frustrating for this potentially dangerous problem. Thank you very much.
