Last year in 08 my car caught on fire on the bottom but wasn't really badly damaged a few months ago in jan-feb we finally got enough money to get it fixed so we got it fixed but when we finally got to take it home weeks later the oil started leaking out of the resorvare and now there saying we need a new motor do I? My uncle said since it hadn't been ran in such a while for me to get treatment for the oil and take it slow in a long road so it can get all the gunk out but what do I have to do?

Is the engine running well? Also, can you better explain where the oil leaks is coming from and how much oil is leaking?

Hi:
Blow by is caused when the piston rings wear out and allow compressed air from the combustion chamber to enter the crankcase (engine block). Here is a way you can check it yourself. With the engine running, open the oil cap and see if there is smoke or a lot of air pressure blowing out.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
