my car will not go pass 2500 rpms what is the problem?

You know what the problem is. It doesn't go faster than 2500 rpm. I'm in pain. Why? Stomach ache? Hang nail? Cut my foot off? You have to provide some kind of information so we have something to work with.

Does this happen all the time? Only when warmed up? How fast will the vehicle go? Is it shifting through all four gears? How many miles are on the engine and what condition is it in? How well does it run going up a hill at low speeds? Give us a clue because otherwise, anything would be a guess.
