Earlier my radio would not come on at all, nothing would light up, I went to the store and came back, then my keys were stuck in the ignition, I could turn the car on and off, shift gears, I shook the steering wheels aligned the wheels and it still did not come out. Can this be blown fuses, or is it 2 separate problems. Or do I need a new ignition, I would like to know before I go to the shop tommorrow.
thank you

There are two models of radio that have a 100 percent failure rate of the microprocessor. They have three lighted tone controls. The cassette version is model number 56038518. The cd version ends in a "67". I have the specialized equipment to replace the microprocessor, but then the software must be installed. They'll never sell me the equipment to do that.

There is a long list of symptoms, and some of them only show up after the battery is disconnected or run dead. If you have one of these, it is very expensive to send them to the authorized repair centers. There is a different model that, as near as I can tell, was only used in the '99 Neon. It looks the same, has the same three lighted tone controls, mounts and plugs in the same, and it will run the same remote cd changer if you have it. It's built by Mitsubishi for Chrysler, but interchanges perfectly.
