Car dies sometimes after coming to stop and starts up with no problems. Usually after driving on the interstate and once to the stop at the off ramp. To make a quick drive to the store or something in town is never a problem. Is this the fuel filter and if so do I need a special tool to replace it and (sorry) but is it easy to locate?

Not to hard to find filter I think. Pass side middle to back of car underneth. Tools one socket +wrench and gas lines should have quick disconnects. Not to bad for$$ I always start changing cheaper things first. Sometimes fuel filter will cause it to jerk going down road too. But come to think of it my 83 Pont. 6000 did the same dang thing. Well good luck and let us know.

If you can, do a diagnostic check of the engine. Your problem could be an egr valve, map sensor or idle air control system, also. Do a diagnostic and let me know the codes that come up, I have all the codes.

Thanks guys for the replies.

Would this OBD II PocketScan for 69.95 (thats advertised on this site) do the trick for the diagnostic check? Sounds like a decent $70 investment to have at my side since this is not my field of work.
