1997 Dodge Intrepid 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the problem that I am havig is that when I first the car it wont stay started even when I hodl the pedal down just a little bit it will keep running but as soon as I let off of the gas it dies but if I put in gear and start driving it will stay started but it does idle funny it keeps reving between 500 adn 1000 rpm

Check it for tune up and check for a vacuum leak
check and clean throttle body and air idle
look for a vacuum leak
do you have check engine light on
get code s
check o2 sensor
