Engine Performance problem
1995 Dodge Intrepid Front Wheel Drive Automatic

the car starts fine and drives fine then after driving about 25 miles it spits and sputters and dies. Then after awhile of restarting it won't start back up. After it sits awhile its fine most the time. It acts like its getting no fuel and it doesnt accelerate well when it acts up. Its not overheating according to the temp guage and the spark plug wires are nearly new. I think maybe its the fuel pump but have been told it could be a vacuum leak or the egr valve. I have no idea though. Any suggestions would be appriciated as I don't want 2 sink a ton of money into this car and still not repair it.

A vacuum leak won't act this way. My concern is the fuel pressure or has the check engine light come on? Finally, the overheating problem is another concern. Have you tried anything to repair that? How hot does it get?
