1991 Dodge Dynasty Car wont charge, alternator known to be

. Unforunately I made the mistake of connecting the battery cable backwards, replaced the battery, then the alternator, car still wont charge, engine is the 3.3 V6 lot of miles but she still runs like a beast.

Will the vehicle start and run?

If that is a three wire connector at the alternator, the black wire is ground, the dark green wire is used by the computer to control charging voltage, with the engine running, there is a pulse on that wire. Dark green/orange or dark blue is B+ with the engine running.
