Two years ago, I accidently drove my Durango into high water. Immediately after exiting the high water, the engine sputter for about 5 min. then stopped, then the "Check Engine" light come on. Since that day, I haven't had any engine problems, only the "Check Engine" light. I was able to pass inspection last year by resetting the computer, but this year it didn't work. The inspection station said the computer hadn't reset yet & I neededto drive it approx. 100 miles for it to reset, then return within 15 days to complete the inspection. When I connected my truck to a diag. computer, the above two codes appeared. Any specific ideas of what it could be?

Those are both EVAP (Evaporative Emissions) codes. One is for small leak, which can be a real bear to find without the proper equipment.Inspect all EVAP hoses for cracks where they bend and plug into the Evap solenoids.Dodges seem to have a bit of an issue with the hoses cracking there. If nothing you may have to find a shop with a smoke tester to find the leak in the system. The underhood emissions diagram wil list where the Evap controls are located

Ok, I was thinking it had something to do with the water incident. Do you know of any companies that rent out the smoke machines or do I need to go to a repair shop?
