2003 Dodge Durango Stalls

My truck is making a funny noise not real loud but there and it will stall at times when your sitting idle or at times when you are driving at low speeds. Want to go to the dealer and have it checked but want to have some idea of what to ask for. My husband is in Iraq and I dont want some mechanic thinking I am some dumb woman that doesnt have a clue even though that seems to be the case ! Thank you

First step, has it had a tune-up yet? Dodge is 35,000 miles for tune-ups? If it has, the Idle air control valve may be sticking, it's bolted to the throttle body, and is responsible for maintianing a steady idle!
