IT sounds like a throttle position sensor (TPS) of a Idle Air Control Valve (IAC). Is the check engine light on?

Joe; TPS, MAPS, are new parts. Ck engine light does not come on. Used code analizer-showed no codes, then erased codes.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Is power normal other than the surge?

If the electrical end is good and fuel pressure is good, the only things left are a vacuum leak or catylatic converter may be plugging. Have you checked for these problems?
