1999 Dodge Durango oil pressure

When driving my truck if I make a sudden stop oil pressure drops. Gague lite comes on for one sec then oil presssure goes back up. If I change the iol i'll be a few months before ti does it again?

Hi there,

This sounds lite oil surge, when the can stops suddenly the oil flows forward in the sump and away from the pick up causing a moment of low oil pressure, what is the weight of oil used? And hoe often do you change it? You may also have a problem with a baffle in the sump, these reduce the amount of surge in the oil.
