If you here a whining noise when taking off most likely your transmission if not check your air filter I switched mine to a k+n not to long ago works really good also have you had fuel filter replaced if not than you may want to but be prepared the fuel filter in this suv is inside the gas tank and may be costly so make sure all your options have been exhausted
