Just drove to a buddy's house and everything worked fine. 2 hours later when I went to leave I had no power steering. I could turn the truck but had to really put my weight into it. All my guages are normal. When I got home, it appeared that my belt is working normally and the fluid level was where it should be. Any ideas at what could be my problem? It is -7 up here, did something freeze on me?

Sure you didnt blow a fuse, if not a fuse then the power steering pump might have gone out

I can't help but wonder if it is so cold that a seal is not expanding in the ps system preventing a preussure build up. I don't see a fuse relationship whatsoever. I would see about getting it into a heated environment to see if that changes anything.

Thanks for suggestions. Took it to local garage this morning and they said there was something broke inside the pump. Replacing should fix it.
