I have noticed that my Dodge Dakota has a minor vibration in the steering wheel when I am either idling in park or driving. The vibration does not increase when the truck is moving. I do not notice any odd noises, either. I just had my tires rotated about 2 weeks ago and seems about the time I noticed this, but like I said earlier, this vibration also occurs in idle/park. Any suggestions?

If you feel it when you are not moving, then it has to be coming from a rough idle. Has the check engine light ever come on?

Let me know.

No warning lights have ever come on. Could it be the plugs & wires or maybe the air filter needs changing?

It could be any of the things you mentioned. When was the last tune up?

Also, keep in mind that the motor is mounted in rubber mounts to absorb vibration. If the rubber part of the mount is bad, you could feel vibrations that have always been there but never noticed.

Let me know about the tune up.

It could cause the problem. It is something that should be done. You may want to consider it as preventative maintenance. It may take care of the problem.
