Hi:
Are you able to move the shifter? If not, do your brake lights work? I know that sounds like a spupid question, but the brake light switch send a signal to the park interlock system allowing you to shift when your foot is on the brake.

Let me know.

Joe

I suspect you have two issues now. First was the interlock was not releasing which is why you could not shift out of park. However, now the cable is most likely broken or come off the transmission.

So I would just make plans to replace the cable with the attached process but you can start with inspecting it and just make sure it is broken or if it is unattached.

Let us know if you need more info. Thanks
