Hey im having a problem with my dakota it just wont stay on. When I start it it will start but cuts right back off if I give it alot of gas it will stay on but as soon as I let up it drops to 1000 rpms then shuts of it also doesnt run very smooth when I am reving it. And help would be appreciated thank you. Dana carrier

The way you describe your problem is not enough or too much fuel. Fuel management is controlled by a powertrain control module and this module is tested with another diagnostic module found at all Dodge dealerships and most repair shops.
