I can not get any air to come out the vents. It will come out on the floor, the defrosters, but not the vents, also I had a new heater core put in a while back and now I only get warm air not hot air. How do I check to see if the vent doors are adjusted right?

Actually, I think you are looking for a vacuum leak in this situation. Check under the dash for leaks. With the engine running, you may actually hear a hising sound from a leak.

Let me know what you find.

I checked for a vacum leak I did not find one. I put my hand up in there and the vacume switch moves to various positions when I turn the selector switch. I did find a 2 inch hose for the side defrost was off but I can not get it back on, is there a hose that goes to the vent back under there also that could be off, I do not see how to get the dash out to get back in there, I have the face off but I cant get the top off, I thought I have all the screws out but it will not move around at the emergancy brake release. Is there a free assembl schematic diagram for the dash for a 1999 dodge dakota anywere?
