1998 Dodge Dakota All Wheel Drive Automatic

I took my Dodge Dakota 4X4 to a automatic car wash at the gas station. I accidently forgot to turn of the engine while it was being washed for at least 5 minutes. After driving a 5 miles the trans temp and O/D off light turn on and less than a minute it turn off. The next incident was on a rainy day the same thing happend again. What should I do?

Start by inspecting the connectors on the trans for any water contamination. Sounds like something is getting wet and messing with the sytem. If you find water, you can use computer keyboard air to blow it out and dielectric grease to help seal it from further water contamination
