I cannot find a diagram to correctly identify the part on my dakota that is broken.

The plastic part that holds the fuel filler neck in place to the body of the vehicle is cracked. The fuel tank neck now has no downward pressure to be able to fill the tank. This cracked as i was inserting the nozzle from the pump to the fuel tank neck.

Thank you for your prompt answers.

I dont know either, but the junk yards are full of good ones, figure out what tool you need to remove it, then go get it at the junk yard. Let's try calling it the filler neck skirt, or apron.

Thank you for the lead. It gives me a place to start. I spent all afternoon trying to find it in a diagram.

Thanks,
Sfrndoll (with a wrench in her hand cause her daddy taught her to be independent.)
