Hi:
If it happens when you hit the the gas, it sounds like the belt. Here is a test to try. Turn all electrical components on high, AC, fan, wipers, radio, and anything else you have. Let the truck idle inneutral or park and hit the gas quick. If the sound seems worse, it's the belt. Also, if the sound is worse in the morning, that is another time when the alt works harder to recharge the battery. There is only one problem. You have a serpintine belt on the truck. If it's in good condition, the belt tensionier most likely bad and in need of replacement.
