Lately, it seems as though my starter may be failing. I turn the key and hear a click, to then try it again, and again, before it finally works. On occasion the truck starts, without a problem. So I suppose the battery (which is new within 2 yrs) is fine. I am still on the original clutch. Plus, a month ago my mechanic checked the starter, and told me that it's working fine.
So, is this sounding like a problem with the starter ? Or is it possible that there's a problem with the clutch, and I can't push the clutch down far enough to ignite the engine ?
Thanks for your answer.

It sounds like your starter is failing even though it was checked two months ago its slowly gettin worse. but before you buy a new one or retest it. check all connections . corrosion or loose connections can cause the same problems.
