The engine will start run for about 30 min then die and can not be restarted until it cools down. Have checked the fuel and seams like it has good pressure after it shut down. Have replaced the shut down relay, checked the wires under fuse box, and installed a new o2 sensor. It does seem like it has a weak spark when it shuts down and is checked. It is fireing a yellow spark at the plug when pulled and grounded out.
This is driving us crazy trying to find it, my son wants to take this truck to schol with him when he leaves after the first of Jan. So I need to get it fixed.
any ideas the last ones I got did not help, they just said it was electrical I know that.
thanks roy

I have a 99 doing almost the same thing. Mine wont start at all now, scince this after noon anyways, I ve been reserching it and I think your symptoms fit better than mine. Try testing your ignition coil, also what size engine do you have I might have some specks for you. Be anyway you need an ometer to test the resistance inthe coil. Take off the plug, should be 2 or 3 wires, if 2 test resitance between them on the coil plug, should be somware between 3-9 but im not sure without knowing the engine size. A week coil will give you a yellow spark, and also ive have been told that a coil going bad will work when its cold, but will not when its warmed up. Thats sounds like why its stalling and you cant start it untill it cools down. Let me know what kind off readings you get, also check the resitance of all the spark wires, just curious. Same thing, on probe goes in one end and the other probe goes in the other end of the spark wire, do one at a time so you dont mix them up, hope we find something, sam
