1994 Dodge Dakota truck dies

Truck dies in forward when you give it gas, works fine in reverse, it you hold your foot on brake and give it gas, it will spin the tires take foot off brake starts to move and dies like someone turned the key off, have to turn key off wait 5 to 10 seconds and truck will restart

IN drive only, what codes? It is only the engine shifting its weight in the opposite direction, a couple of things are different in the transmission hydraulics, but do you mean you can spin your tires in drive, but after it moves forward it dies?
Will not restart for couple trys? This is in 2WD. Revs ok? Try in D1. Scan codes.
OK let me know. I remember something. Also see if it's ok at highway speeds. What is your history of parts or engine repais lately? Ok I'll check tomorrow. Ok
