My truck actually has a 360 out of an 87 Ramcharger and has an aftermarket edlebrock intake manifold and a holley carb.

My truck will sputter and die everytime I push on the brakes if the truck is moving forward.I just fixed the vacuum leaks and adjusted the carb when I started to have this problem. I thought it was the check valve on the vacuum assist brakes working improperly so I changed it out today and the truck is still doing it. Please help I'm all out of ideas

Thanks for your time

Disconnect the vacuum hose on the brake booster and plug it and see what happens to the idle when brake is applied

If it only happens whe you step on the brake, pinch off the vacuum hose to the booster, see if it's ok, if yes, the diaphram inside the booster may be defective. Use caution, you won't have power brakes during the test!
