how do I change the starter on my dakota? how many bolts are there?

Hi:

Replacing the starter on a dakota will require patiences. Only two bolts hold the starter on, but getting to them is the hard part. If you have a skid plate under the vehicle, remove it. Next, you will need to open the driver's side inner fender so you can see the starter. Make sure to disconnect the battery then you can work on it.
