Check for charging system trouble codes. You should be able to get some codes by cycling the ignition switch, You just turn the key till the dash lites come on, no further. Cycle the key on--off, on--off, on, then the mil starts flashing, you count the flashes to get the codes. Your looking for two digit codes. In the diagram, of the three wires, one on the right goes hot when you turn on the key, the one on the left is hot all the time. The one in the middle has a pulse with engine running, the computer switches the field terminal on and off.
