1988 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1988 dodge dakota I just bought and the radio wont work, the clock is on, but the radio wont turn on. Any suggestions? The fuses are good I think.

Check fuse No.9 10amp that powers the radio at On/Accy position if okay could be the red and white wire is open and also look for a fuse behind the unit.

Hey I asked the question about the radio, the fuses are all good, I took I out of the dash, and on the back of the stereo, there is two plugs, ( I call them pigtails) a gray one and black one. The gray one was plugged in but the black is missing. Like I took the whole dash apart and its not there. Now im back where I started. Any suggestions.
