Park lights dont work and neather do my alarm light for the alarm meening the park lights when alarm is armerd or disarmed, fuese blows when lights turn on, but not when alarm is turned on or off but still park light dont work for the alarm, replaced healight switch still the same thing. This started driving along and I heard the snap of the fuese, I think its the alarm could the alarm bee shorting out the fuese?

Yes the alarm could be causing the problem. IS it an aftermarket system because I don't think Chrysler used one on the 87 dakota?

Also, have you checked the lights themself to make sure there isn't a short anywhere?
