Batterie light and hand brake light stay on?

When I start my car the batterie light and the hand brake light remain lite on the dash board panel?

When the car is idleing this does not happen but as soon as I put it into drive both lights come on and remain lite

Can you please help me with this?

I just cured the exact same problem. It was a very old alternator belt. The belt was very hard and weather checked. It also squealed really bad. A new alternator belt fixed the problem.
