overheating. Sears repair says I have a "heater hose line puncture". They will not repair, says I should go to dealer, as it will cost extensive labor charges. How much will replacement cost? Can the puncture be patched instead?

IMHO, Don't go to places like sears for anything, the chains are brutal.

Without seeing it it is hard to say, A picture would be nice.

You may be able to cut and splice it. You'll need a brass nipple ( no, not a nipple ring) and a few hose clamps. Dayco make the nipples: 3/4" id is #80423. If it is 3/4", may be a 5/8" #80422.
