My Grand caravan is 2002, model ex, 56,000 miles. Engine is 3.8. When starting there is long crank time and when it starts there is rough idle momentarily. Injectors have been subjected to pressure clean and fuel pump has been replaced. Returned to service at Chrysler dealer shop. They say cannot detect problem. Could this be related to spark plug problem? The car has platinum plugs. Have ther been reports of plug removal problems as in the case of Ford?

Sounds like a fuel ctrl or temp sensor problem. Fuel pump must be conducted with a volume and pressure test under load. Also electrical integrity of the pump. Fuel injector must at least pass a residual test. Whatever service make no difference if the cpts has a problem to begin with. We cured 50% of injectors by servicing it but the other 50% crapped out too. So. That don't mean nuthing. Also injectors can be tested by flowing or a 5 gas on & off test. Thats a sure thing. It could be also ur coolant and intake air temp sensor operating out of range. The computer detect a false temp but it can't tell from 43 deg or 90 deg. Good luck man. If I hear 1 more of these stories everytime I get I penny.I'll own 1/2 of texas.

Good luck man

Check the fuel pressure regulator. If blown dumps raw fuel into engine causing rich cond. What kind of spark plugs? If Bosch Platinum replace with OEM's
