1997 Dodge Caravan 2.4L 150,000 miles.
No lights on the instrumental cluster (Temperature Guage, Speedometer, Fuel Guage, Odometer, etc. Does not lid up). I can't tell how fast I'm driving or how much gas I have. This blackout has happened before but I would allow the van to sit for a few hours and start it up again with no problem. There seem to be no problem with the information center at this moment. Do I need to replace the entire instrument cluster or can I just have the bulb replaced? Is this something I can do myself? Please help. Thank you!

Its seems to me you got a burnt out cluster bulb, Best to change all of them at once, So then you dont have to keep taking the cluster apart.

Good luck

All of them go out at once? Then all come back?

Answer to 2CarProJack: Yes, all of them go out at once and all come back on the same time. I don't think it's the bulb. Must be wiring. Your thoughts please. Thank you.

There is a yellow/black wire at back of headlight switch. Test it for power with the headlights on (when dash lights arent working) That wire is the signal to the Body Control Module to turn on the dash lights. If you have power, then the BCM might be the culprit, almost every light in your van is controlled or monitored by the BCM
