Consumes too much gasoline

Hi, I just bought a used 97 caravan from a private owner. He gave all the maintainance records and the last time he had it tune up was last 2000. The van cosumes too much fuel. I put $20 and it only last 4days with about 10miles of travel a day. Caravan has 6cyl, 3.0 engine. If you could advice me what to do and recommend what kind of spark plugs and wires. I appreciate your input.

9.10 gallons of gas is a bit much for 40 miles. Like you said start out with plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Not to pricey to start off with. Im thinking since u have a 3.0 it is a bit tight to work on. It just might be that the plugs against the firewall might not have been change at the same time as front plugs. Lots of places when getting tune up wont change back plugs. Just because their lazy.
