Blown head gasket

I have a 96 Grand Caravan with the 3.3L motor and 137K. Late last month I had the tranny rebuilt and just a few days ago noticed that it was no longer heating the cab. Finally found a coolant leak coming out the upper left corner of the head as you are looking at the motor. There doesn't appear to be any coolant in the oil and that plug on that end looks good. I think the mechanic who did my tranny may not have properly purged the system. Do yo think it's worth going back to that mechanic and raise the issue and go for reparations? Or should I just plunge on ahead and find another mechanic to replace the head gasket and possibly deal with a warped head?

You could try and go back to the mechanic who did the original work, its a 50/50 chance if he helps you out or not. You shouldnt have a warped head if you caught it in time. Hope for the best
