2003 Dodge Grand Caravan 125000 mi 3.3 brakes are repaired how do you reset the ABS light so it is not on all the time. Thank you.

****assuming the ABS system is repaired, how do you reset the light on the dash, or will it only go off when the repair is made, I thought the light stayed on until it was either cleared by a scanner or the battery disconected?****

IT’S THE ABS SYSTEM
Fixing the brakes will not fix the ABS system problems
You need to have the system scanned for codes.
Each tire has a speed sensor on it that’s report to the BCM

And other components too.
Easy way to pin it have the system scanned

Good luck

Your making a false association. The ABS is a system that is separate from the mechanical braking system you just worked on. Anti-Lock Brake (ABS) activates when the car is going into a skid. The wheels speed sensors send a signal to the ABS module. When the module doesn't receive a signal, because one wheel is moving a a different revolution than the others, it activates, causing a pulsing of the fluid to help maintain control during the skid.

You need to start by pulling codes from the ABS module.
