'97 Dodge Grand Caravan SE (3.0 L Mitsubisi motor), 164,000 miles. Engine ran fine before and during transmission troubles. Just had rebuilt transmission installed, now it runs VERY rough when cold. After it warms up it runs good. Check Engine light is on. Diagnostic code reads P0300 (Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected). Changed spark plugs and wires, didn't help. Hope you have suggestions?

Thank you.

It started immedietly after re-built transmission was installed. The mechanic that did the work could not get his code reader to interface with the car's computer, so he didn't know what the problem was.

I would ask him to either find out why, or see if he is willing to pay for it if you take to a shop that can find out why, if it is related to what he did.
