I need to drop the headliner in my van to install a ladder rack. The instructions do not address how to remove the headliner. Can you explain how to do this and will I need any special tools to remove it? Also, are there any wires attached to the underside of the top of the van that I need to be aware of so that I do not drill into them? Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks.

Mr. KHLow2008,

Thank you for your answer but I should have asked for detailed instructions. I know nothing about how to do this.

I understand the step by step sequence but do I need specail tools. It says remove this and that but I do not see any screws or any way to remove it. Also, are there any wires attached to the underside of the top of the van that I need to be aware of so that I do not drill into them?

If you could list the tools needed and how to remove the liner, then I can proceed. Thanks a million!

Hi oceanbuie,

No special tools are required. You need to feel and pry off clips. Screwdrivers would be required.

Wires would be found near the roof lights area. I do not know the exact route of the wires so you need to check from where they go up to the roof. Usually from front or centre LH pillar.
