2005 Dodge Caravan 40,000 miles

Hello!
I don't know much about cars and have little money to fix them but if I can do it myself with your help, that would be great! :)
My airbag light has just recently starting to stay on.
I have not been in any fender benders, even small ones so I can't understand why my airbags might be in jeopardy of not working according to my owners manual.
They give no suggestions other than to take it to a repair place and be at their mercy as to what the problem is.
Any suggestions on why this light stays on? Could it be just as simple as a fuse, a computer restart or will I need to go to a dealer?

I think that your mini van should still be under warranty. If not, the problem could be a the clock spring in the steering wheel. The Caravan has had this problem for a long time and was under a recall for this in 1999 models. Does your horn and cruse control still work? If not, it is the clock spring.
