left house and was motoring along, tranny jumped and grabbed a couple of times. I pulled over and stopped, let sit 10 minutes, checked tranny fluid and it was even a little over full. Restarted and was able to move along slowly for a little while then lost all motion from tranny. Could hear tranny spinning when in gear but no power to move. Also do not have reverse. I had to sit for 5 to 10 minutes and then was able to go a bit. I had to do that until I was able to get to a place with a parking lot to get off the road. Called a friend to come tow me home.

Hello and thanks for donating

There are many things that could cause this issue, most likely it is not going to be an easy fix though. Low transmission fluid is the first to start at, but you have already covered that. The next to check would be the transmission filter which, if clogged, may cause silpping but again I don't think this is the issue here. From here the internals of the transmission will need inspected as they are suspect to be the culprit. Worn transmission bands, faulty torque converter, misaligned transmission bands and so on..
