My 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan has suddenly gone from 19-20mpg around town to 14-15mpg around town at 79,000 miles. This litterally occured from one tank of fuel to the next. I'm assuming it needs a tuneup. Is there anything other than plugs/wires filters and maybe a fuel injector cleaning that you can suggest?

Hello,

That is pretty much what you need.

One other question what grade fuel do you use, did you change grades. A lower octane fuel will reduce you milage.

Also is check engine light on? Usually a bad O2 Sensor will reduce milage.

There's no check engine light and we've always ran 87 octane QT gasoline. I drove it the past few days and it's getting 18 mpg again. Now I know why my wife wants a Magnum with a HEMI! It was actually pretty funny to find out she likes to get it going quickly. I've got an old Nova drag car. Maybe she needs some time at the track!

Anyway, i'll tune the van and see if it stays better. Thanks!
