I have a 2003 dodge grand caravan 3.8L V6. It sometimes dies while I'm driving down the road but so far its always started back up. The check engine light is not on.

Does it run fine before it dies? Also, when it dies, is it slow and drawn out like a bad fuel pump? It starts rightaway? Maybe it needs a fuel filter. Without more info, it sounds like a pump.

It runs fine before it dies then it just goes. I put it in neutral and restart it. One time it didn't restart right away. It took it a few minutes but it did restart. While I was waiting for it to restart there was a kind of ticking noise coming from the drivers side under the hood.
