2002 Dodge Caravan speedometer malfunction

Electrical problem
2002 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 135k miles

speedometer stoped working. The needle is below the bottom pin. Have replaced the vehicle speed sensor, no help.

Let me ask is the pin above the speedometer needle or below

That van has 3 on it 1 is Transmission range sensor

whitch one did you change also check voltage at the connections the one you need to change is The output speed sensor on the transmission is also the vehicle speed sensor. The output sensor is the two wire sensor on the front of the trans all the way to the driver side

Press and hold the trip reset button, on the odometer, until you get a code about 10-30 secs. Then release. Your gauges and lights should light up and gauges move around once it does its thing every thing should be back to normal.
