We recently changed the oil in the van and had it tilted on its side for easy access to the oil filter. When we were finished, the car would not go into reverse. After rocking the van back and forth a few times, it went tinto gear. This particular problem has happened twice since and now I am a scared to take it very far away from home. My daughter goes to camp 50 miles away and it is an everyday trip. Can someone please tell me why my van would do this to me?

Did it go into drive? Could be the axle isnt completely seated in the transmission.

It finally did go into gear. Today, I went out to try it and it worked perfectly.
