Our Dodge Caravan has been experiencing starting issues. It will start most of the time, but periodically it will click and do nothing. After several attempts and clicking, the van will start. We brought it to the dealer, but all they did was replace the battery. After about 2 weeks, we are still experiencing the same problem.

Is this a starter problem that needs replacing, or could it be something else related the electrical system?

If you hear a click, then the relay is working, you should check the battery cables at both ends, remove the negative first, and put it on last! Then check the starter solinoid, if it's mounted on the starter replace the starer, if mounted on the fender, replace the solinoid!

Thanks for the reply. The selenoid was located on the starter, so I replaced. It started right up and all indications so far after several different trips throughout the day, is that it is working great.

I appreciate the help.
