Oil filter was damage and all the oil drained from the car. When it was run the connecting rod was broken. Since then the rod, piston, piston rings, rod bearing, and valve have been replaced. Put it all back together engine is still making a knocking noise but just not so loud as before. Im worried about another rod being damage or maybe it is common after replacement. I just dont want to breakdown with my newborn in the car. Again.

HI there,

did you check all the other bearings? Cam & over head gear? When you do that much damage to an engine you will have problems other that the failed rod you replaced.
